In homage to Aristotle we concur completely that, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." Accordingly, we aspire to create a more honest and compelling proposition for a services firm and investment partner by the choices we make and the actions we take. We will not compromise on our values. We are seeking partners, associates, investors, clients and companies who believe in our value system and who, together with us, wish to protect, strengthen and apply them daily. In practice, our values serve as a Beacon, a Filter, a Lens, and ultimately a Mirror.

We are creating a multigenerational firm that operates on the deepest levels of trust.
To truly trust others requires consistent, mutual demonstration of both character and competence. When we are all free to operate at the highest levels of trust then we can do more together, faster. When we are operating for long-term relationships we do not quibble with one another in the short-term. We never assume ill intent and we seek mutually beneficial relationships always.
That working with A&S, in any capacity, should be thoroughly engaging.
We must earn every day, every hour why our people, clients, investors and partners continue to be engaged with A&S. Our people should see and feel, rationally and emotionally that they can do more with us than elsewhere; it is only then that we will truly have the best of everyone in our ecosystem and be able to create the impact we expect.

Most of the world does not "follow-through" but we do regardless of who is the likely beneficiary of our determination. If you engage with A&S we will always follow-up and see our commitments through no matter how large or small those may be.

Our hope is that each and every time that we engage with anyone in our ecosystem that we create demonstrable value in that experience. We want to develop and substantiate a clear fact-base describing the reality in which we are expected to operate with our clients and partners. Once we understand this reality -- whether it is more negative or more positive -- we will be optimistic and firmly biased toward the positive and the possible and do everything legitimate within our power to bring about the most desirable outcomes.
Paying it forward.
